"He is just":
- They know who it is. At least Dezba and Arthur know him.
"going to keep":
- They know that he did it before. Not just one time. And to them, people who were with Secret Star.
"Picking us off":
- The Hobbs family was somehow affiliated with Secret Star.
And there is the bloody symbol on the wall. It's the same killer Fink chased in Alaska, the same who was in Moonbase.
They still want to keep it under the rug, as much as possible. Why? just to keep Secret Star out of all this - or was the killer also somehow affiliated with Secret Star?
The cleanup of all the gore will require some work, this time. This was done on purpose - does the killer no longer care or did he want some attention and maybe connect Secret Star to the murders?
New theory:
Assuming that the killer did this to create attention: Maybe it was the killer who put the body of the first victim where Logan found it - and set up the man substitutes to lead them to Moonbase. That doesn't rule out that the killer is also the coyote that carried the hand of the first victim, and it doesn't rule out that the killer is the one who impersonated Otto at the Smoke 'n' Gun.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! You ba***rds. I'm taking notes for the day when I finally start writing my own stories, and filing them under "Plotting: How to simultaneously infuriate your fans and keep them coming back for more."
So not only do we have a secret society of dubious intent, we have a homicidal "he" dedicated to offing members of said secret society. With extreme prejudice. And stylistic flourishes reminiscent of Moonbase.
Moonbase had that froggy-looking little alien. Kind of underimpressive to be "he". But maybe associated with him in some way.
Interesting that "he" killed the whole family, too. Just as the stone tested the entire Begay family. Suggests that there's a blood connection between members of this society. Maybe we're looking at two feuding groups of aliens?
